For the 100 Hour Challenge I decided to build a food dehydrator. A food dehydrator removes water from the food allowing the food to be stored longer and easier.
The parts:
Blower $4
Hotplate $3
Rubbermaid Box $3
Electrical cord $0.25
Wire Baskets 5 @ $0.25
Total $11.50
Procedure:
First I dismantled the hotplate and mounted the burner on a wire rack.
Then I cut some holes in the lid for air to go in and out, placed the blower on top, wired everything together, and then I put the wired racks on the inside and I was done. I put in a few banana sliced and gave it a whirl.
